We've seen these sorts of issues before from this company and it's gotten to the point where outrage for a little while is to be expected followed by the players quietening down after a while learning to adapt or rather live with the change and hand papa cipsoft some more money and say thankyou for your hard work while they take it from you. Raising the price of supplies - mana pot went from 50gp to 56gp each etc Prey Re-rolls x4 in price, then due to player outrage reduced it to 3x instead (hur dur they listen) The cost of housing went from 1000 a month in some cases to an insane 5, 000, 000 a month for the top tier houses within the game. All of these things making it that little bit harder for new players to get into the game and pushing them away more, making the reliance on milking existing players even more prevalent. Sigh Spawns like diremaws when first introduced where insane, a totally broken spawn for a long time, only to be nerfed into oblivion never to really be hunted again. Barren empty hunting grounds are what you will find around 90% of tibia while only a mere 10% of spawns are actually frequented, the bestiary did a good job of incentivising players to revisit old haunts for abit but once youve gotten ghouls unlocked from the bestiary are you really going back to a tomb again? or even ankrahmun in general for that matter. The players asked for a revamp of old content to breathe new life into forgotten gems such as fenrock dl's, but we have instead been met with nerfs across the board of all top tier spawns, but for whatever reason falcons remain untouched... All of this only serves to the shit rolling down the hill for players as the team of lvl 700's that were happy hunting away in library, will now push out the team that were happily hunting away in their spawn, forcing them to then go and push out the team of level 300's hunting in catacombs or whatever, you see what i'm getting at though here right? Everyone's just essentially being moved down a hunting bracket. What problem has this solved? Absolutely none! Adding on to that sort of issue, any testing done during the live test servers pre-update release never gets addressed, even though many players will report issues with the numbers they are managing to achieve at said spawn, only to be told this is how the spawn is intended to be. Not to mention the sale of EXP boosts for an hour a pop, coupled in with the ability to roll for even more exp yielded by a specific creature and should you not get the creature you want to hunt, give you the opportunity to pay some more money to get the mob you want on top of that, multiply that by the double EXP weekends they hold bi-monthly like clockwork which incentivise the sale of even more of these purchasable exp boosts, now all of a sudden the sheer amount of experience players are gaining a day is "too much"? are you kidding me, you caused this issue through your own greed. But yet now we are met with nerfs, saying that library is a little too good for exp and profit after all, carnivoras a little too good for profit after all. So which is it CIP? The spawns that were supposedly always working as intended apparently now aren't by whose great epiphany is this? or are you now working a new angle that ensures that even more players will be inclined or more yet forced to buy more tibia coins from the official source, rather than everyone getting them from third party sellers for a fraction of the price so that they may be able to keep up with the leading guilds on each game world so that the power abuse doesn't get so one sided they cannot even hope to fight back any longer and get dominando'ed off the game world? There is a hidden agenda to all of this people. Not to mention the utter piss take that it is, where they charge 900 coins (which is $30 in real life money) to unlock for a single character on your account a third prey slot, mount, outfit, third hunting task prey slot (LOL), gold coin pouch etc, all of which these things should be unlocked account wide upon purchasing for that much of an insane amount of money in such a niche 20 year old pixel mmo, that no one has ever heard aside from its devoted long term players. They couldn't just be happy with a little extra money ontop of peoples subscriptions no no.. they want all of the money. Are you taking the actual fucking piss, neither have they ever held discounted sales on certain store products either or a flat rate discount for when buying mass amounts of tibia coins in bulk, to prompt more sales. But instead no we just get a new release of hey now you guys can buy 15, 000 Tibia coins at once now if you'd like guys, tehe. Not to mention they recently also increased the price of premium time for each month, though only a slight increase, an increase none the less. It's ridiculous that a 20+ year old pixel mmo have the audacity to charge such prices for these things, they are a company yes and they are here to make money but there comes a time where enough is enough. They clearly don't play their own game and rely on the use of the playerbase to test it for them and work out the issues that arise from their "changes", where they slap dash throw any old stat numbers on the newest creature's and await the community to suggest more reasonable stats, sorting out their own game for them. We are the guinea pigs that pay to be tested on, and we just keep on coming back for more like some abused Stockholm syndrome lover. The online numbers haven't changed since any of this bullshit and as such they are in no way about to stop this money making machine, as we are all too stubborn or addicted or I dont even know, beaten down to do anything else other than log in and hope things get better? It's honestly insane, this game has so much potential and is special to so many of us, I get why it is hard to just walk away from something that's been with us for more than a decade I truly do, but sooner or later the straw will break the camels back, it may not be this update or the next one, but it will happen eventually and you know it will, because the same issues keep on arising. Of course not forgetting all the game breaking bugs and roll backs we've had to endure over the course of the last few years, that's a whole other can of worms to get into but won't as this post is getting more and more extensive than i'd originally planned. Updates over the last few years have been more and more lack luster one after another and it shows just how uninspired the developers truly are, falcons, cobra's basic copypasta's of one another and yes you can chop it up to the "lore" that they are trying to build, but to me it has laziness written all over it, haha and thats not forgetting the the reuse of existing sprites to make stronger creatures with.. im looking at you elite undead skeleton, at least the demon skeleton was fucking made red, gazers spectres and his two brothers, lazy recolours of the same dude, are you kidding me? Long gone are the days of actual monster design, krailos surface creatures are probably the last added mobs with actual good designs but I digress. A few new bosses here and there, some items (which sprites for have been getting more and more basic, uninspired and in some cases straight up ugly, summerblade, winterblade for example lol) a complete disregard to the call for VOC balancing from the player base, or hell even just implementing new skills, runes or anything to that tune, to just change up the game play slightly. whether you're a team of lvl 150's or level 700's all hunts in between go something like this, knight runs in, exeta res, stand there gets smacked about while the druid sio's and waves and the other boys do their bits to pitch in and take their share of the loot, rinse repeat, the spawns may change, the numbers may go up but no matter how you swing it you do the exact same thing for hours on end. from level 30 all the way to 999, oh and when you finally get to 999, whats waiting for you? I literally just can't even anymore. Maybe im bitter, maybe I just like to complain, cry is free and all that, but who knows maybe cip will find a way to monetise that from us sooner or later aswell. Anyway I just wanted to get this off my chest, leme know what you all think. I'ma head back to Fenrock DL's and profit hunt for abit before its time for my next nappy change.
