Hay 3 teorías que tengo de esto: 1.- Ellos son la familia de la primera película, la mamá, el papá y el Niño (qué era Brahms) y seria una precuela. 2.- Las escenas donde se ve el muñeco “poseído” sean posibles sueños o alucinaciones de los personajes, como en la primer película. 3.- Puede que Brahms realmente haya realizado un cierto “pacto” con el muñeco, es decir, que el muñeco esté poseído y Brahms viva en él.
