Like an apple from the garden of Eden this movie starts something and ends it's quickly. Laborious and riveting at the same time the melancholy drawn from the main protagonists is both a sucker punch and kiss on the proverbial lips as this belter of a movie takes you to hell and back in the mere space of 1 hour 49 minutes which is far quicker than anyone could either climb Everest or climb to the bowels of this beastly planet which we call Earth. A true stinker.
Level 1 Aside from the fact this will likely have zero impact on the reviews or box office, I have never heard of a film being updated like this after release. There seem to have been major breakdowns between the director and the studio on this project. level 2 apparently there are a few unfinished shots, like missing fur unfinished... also when a studio imposes a rushed deadline on an ambitious project, sometimes it cant be met without huge corner cutting. And this goes to show, some corners are too big to cut. level 2 Michael Cimino asked desperately to United Artists through an open letter on a newspaper that his movie Heaven's Gate should be pulled from theaters so that he could recut it, due to the fact the movie was being destroyed by the critics. They granted his wish and he could cut more or less 30 minutes from the movie, the movie still was critically panned, and bombed at the box office, making United Artists go on bankruptcy after they let the budget of Heaven's Gate go too inflated level 2 Paddington 2 is the Dark Knight of talking animal family movies 776 points ? 3 months ago It happens, mostly in very subtle ways or quietly, but the most blatant recent one was Show Dogs with Will Arnett and Ludacris. Work on it some more and release it for Valentine's Day since the movie seems to be about all the cats wanting to fuck each other. level 2 I have never heard of a film being updated like this after release. Post-premiere tweaks happen more often than you might think. But I've never heard a studio proudly announce it before. level 2 Show Dogs was re-edited during its theatrical run because of a "comedic" scene in which Ludicrous dog gets molested and decides he likes Will Arnett. Oh, and Ludicrous dog is told to just let it happen and go to his happy place. level 2 Apparently it's fairly common these days. Small tweaks and adjustments that no one will ever notice. At least according to a VFX tutor I had at uni, the guy has been in the industry for 20-30+ years so I trust what he says.

Nightmarish, haunting, unsettling, weird, terrifying, ghastly, induced fever dream are some of the perfect words to explain this movie. I will be laughing nervously for rest of my life every time someone mentions this movie to me. All the actors in this is your legacy now. And you cant undo it.

I cannot believe that this has blown up the way it has, but myself and my family are loving it and are tearing up reading all these beautiful comments! Once I finish my university ZOOM call in the next bit I’ll get around to replying to everyone!! Meg is actually a MALE and is 12+ years old. Why we called him Meg? Well in actual fact we had another cat named Meg who passed away many years ago and us kids (myself and my younger brother and sister) were so upset by this we decided to name this cat Meg too!! Even though he’s a boy!! Sorry for the confusion!! We’ve had Meg since I was about 10 years old maybe even longer..! He came from my grandparents farm as a kitten and has been a wonderful pet to us. He is definitely microchipped and has been looked after very well. He’s actually lost so much weight and used to be a real chubby one! We also have 2 other beautiful cats named Leo and Millie and an awesome Spoodle named Cadbury! We also had Charlie another Spoodle, but unfortunately he passed away a few years ago. Meg is now the elder and King of the pets!!! Ok so the story: We are in the middle of renovating our family home, so we’ve been out of the house for these 6 months, but we are staying somewhere only 5 minutes away. The animals all adjusted to the new house very well and there weren’t any issues for a few weeks. Then one day when we all were at work, school and university and came back home Meg was missing!!! As he’s a bit older he never has run away from home and if he has gone missing, it may have been for 1 day in his earlier years! Usually Meg just sleeps in the house and that’s about it. You can imagine our whole family were devastated. Meg, Leo and Millie all represent my grandparents and their farm as they all came from there, so to lose one of them is so upsetting. We tried the early morning walks, asking neighbours, searching far and wide for him for weeks and weeks, social media etc etc, but unfortunately nothing. We even went to a pet shelter somewhere 45 mins away as the cat looked identical to Meg, but unfortunately wasn’t him as the cat wasn’t desexed (MEG IS DESEXED). After a few months, we did all we could and just hoped one day if he was alive he’d come back. I ended up going overseas to Europe for the first time (I’m training to be an Opera Singer!! ) before this horrible virus hit and would constantly think about him and wonder what he was up too. I don’t know how he has survived these last 6 months! If you think about the horrible heat Australia had over the summer and everything that’s happened, it’s seriously insane!! Yesterday I was in the middle of a group call for uni and my sister burst into my room saying “MEG HAS BEEN FOUND!!! ” A lady only a few streets away also lost her cat and went for a walk trying to find her. Somehow Meg found her on the street and started following her and ended up staying the night at hers. She did a Facebook post in the local areas lost pets Facebook group, and it was Meg! My mum and sister immediately contacted her and went to collect Meg. Meg was brought home and Cadbury, Leo and Millie all ran up to Meg like nothing had changed. I even went to get a glass of water through the night and Meg meowed at me from his blanket on the couch. It’s such a blessing and in some ways a miracle that he is back. I guess to other owners who have lost their loved ones, never give up!!! I’ve heard crazy stories about cats even travelling across the state to go back to their old homes or coming back after 3 years!! I wish I could see where he went, if someone looked after him (perhaps, but he has honestly lost SO MUCH WEIGHT) and what he got up too in his time away. My brother, sister and I are all considering making an instagram account for Meg and the other pets as there’s been a lot of love from you all and tbh we are getting quite bored staying home all day and would be something fun.
