本当は、Metallic Materials Properties Development and Standardization なのだが、字数制限にひっかかった(^^)。
米運輸省連邦航空局の作成している金属材料特性ハンドブックの名前。略して MMPDS とも言う。航空機業界では一種のバイブルになっているらしい。元は、MIL-HDBK-5 (Military Handbook-5) という国防総省の出していた軍用ハンドブックだったようだ。
