Police and FBI are not your friend, remember that. When your history teacher is an extra in the movie?. Saw the movie last night I loved It. The media is a business in it to make money. If that means reporting BS, they are fine with that. The movie Richard Jewell was a long time coming, but it was worth the wait to get Paul Walter Hauser to play Jewell. I've seen it twice already. I think it's the best movie of 2019. The trump Putin bots have really got busy again this last week. Must be the impeachment. Crank up the usual slogans and pretend trump is popular. Finally a trailer that doesn't give away the whole movie.

I saw the movie, live in Atlanta, Was at the Olympics virtually everyday of the events, was not at the park that night. the movie was riveting, spot on in most cases, and showed us that the Media and the FBI can be corrupt, when they target individuals, based on perception and feeling and their personal agenda. Hmm, where have we recently seen that ? What they did to Richard was horrible, and horrible that the media and FBI individuals can become corrupted. That unfortunately demeans the many great Law enforcement individuals, makes us suspect of them and the media as well. That is tragic, but so is the way they abused their power as this true story tells and we see before our eyes that reality.
Starts off rather mundane. Richard is a simple, earnest. driven man, seeking a law enforcement position. Due to his 'earnestness' he rocks the boat a few times. He makes acquaintance with an attorney, where the film opens, on his job. Later that would become fateful. The film gets intense around the time he is working at Centennial Park, before the event, and continues throughout the film. From then on, he quickly turns from Hero, to Villain. He is just harassed to no end. And he isn't alone. There are some tender moments, as he, his Mother are under a very strong spotlight. I think Clint Eastwood did a very good job. And from what audience members were commenting on, during the film, it held everyone's attention. Due Process is an extremely important aspect for, every American's Constitutional Right.
So Richard Jewell became a suspect due to his previous behavior, but Kathy Scruggs cannot be suspected based on her character even though she has sex with cops who used to steal from the dead, and was a druggi. Lol. In Australia the media cant name someone under investigation until their convicted, the TV show cops would have to delay broadcast until all the suspects had their day in court if it was filmed here. He was white and southern - that was all the left wing media needed to know as well as Clinton's FBI to falsely accuse this good man in the eyes of the public.

And the FBI is still as crooked and incompetent today. This film should have been made at least 15 or 20 years ago. Where was Ken Burns when Jewell was still alive? Where is he now to tell the real story? I am waiting; I hear crickets. They took his life for good copy, while a white nationalist murderer named Eric Rudolph laughed in the shadows. And so it falls to Clint Eastwood? Well, that's what happened. Nobody gave a damn enough to remember his name. He was poor and powerless - he lived with his mom and so was considered a loser. Easy prey for an amoral society. Nobody's free until everybody's free.

The fake media was trying to destroy this man. While both this and Rambo (Last Blood) were conservative films, the difference is that Rambo had a shoddy, basic af script trading in conservative stereotypes (shy meek wife stays at home praying while the bodybuilding father saves the daughter from sex trafficking in Mexico) whereas RJ was competently written, directed, acted and was infinitely more impactful. Not just due to the fact that it's a real story but also due to the filmmaking on display. Edit: RJ also depicted some conservative tropes in a positive light, such as responsible gun ownership (although he did go overboard lol.
