This is the continent of Magvel.
これはマギ・ヴェル大陸。
However, the story I’m about to tell takes place on a different Magvel from the one of ancient tales and legends. It’s a parallel universe
とはいえ、これからお話しする物語は「例の」昔話や伝説で語られるものとは異なるマギ・ヴェル大陸を舞台にしている。これは平行する宇宙での物語。
Some centuries have passed since the War of the Stones and Magvel quite changed.
聖石戦争を経て数世紀が過ぎ去り、マギ・ヴェル大陸はすっかりその様子を変えた。
Of the 5 sacred Stones, only one remained, and it contained the Damon King’s soul.
５つあった聖石も、魔王の魂を封ずる一つを残すのみとなっていた。
Nations have been working hard to avoid conflicts and maintain an era of peace.
国々は平和の時代の保全と相互の対立を避けることに力をつくしてきていた。
In the heart of Magvel, the realm of Hoikade, ruled by Munie, the Silent Queen.
大陸の心臓部に位置し、沈黙の女王ムニーが治めるホイカーデ王国。
Next to it is the Magnolia Empire, an ally of Hoikade, ruled by Empress Phoebe.
ホイカーデの隣国でありかつ同盟国の、女帝フィービが治めるマグノリア帝国
To the southeast we’ve the desert kingdom, Midbar, ruled by Holon, the Hollow King
南東に虚無王ホロンが統治する砂漠のミドバー王国。
North of there is the holy theocracy of Pylum, whose Saint is unknown to most
北には正体不明とされている聖人の神聖パイラム国。
To the southeast is the kingdom of Lazulis. It’s a large nation ruled by King Elzand
南西にはラズリス王国がある。大国であり、エルザンド王が治めている。
Along with these countries, there is a sixth independent nation in the north.
これらの国々に加えて、6つ目の独立国が北方に存在している。
A cursed place known as Tartaros, and hosts brigands and criminals of all kind
山賊や罪人といった類の者たちが寄り集まり、呪われた地として知られているタルタロスがそれである。
In these times of peace, tales of past conflict have drifted into legend…
過去の闘争の歴史が伝説となりつつあったこの平和の時代…
But one person in particular is destined to carry the wicked weight of the past
しかしそのなかで一人の人間が過去の忌々しい重荷を、背負わされることになるのである。
This is the story of that person… the princess of Hoikade.
これはその人間…ホイカーデの王女の物語。
After some unfortunate events, she found herself lighting the flames of war.
一連の不幸な出来事ののち彼女は自分自身こそが、戦争の火ぶたを切っている存在であることに気付く。
The conflict spread quickly. Like a river flowing down a hill, it swept away everything on its path.
抗争は急速に広がり、それはまるで川が丘へと下るように、その進路にあるすべてを攫っていった
Even the ever-peaceful Lazulis was involved in the end.
古来より平和が続いてきたラズリス王国でさえも、ついにその激流に呑まれてしまうのである。
Whose fault was this? Hoikade’s? Well, we don’t know that. What we know for sure ...
この責任は奈辺に帰せられるのか？ホイカーデか？我々は知らない。ただ一つ確かなのは
Is that everyone, from all sides, lost precious comrades and friends.
立場、国家にかかわりなく全ての人が大切な仲間と、友人を失ったことだ。
However, in the middle of this chaos a ray of hope started to shine.
しかし、この混沌の中で一条の希望が輝きだした。
And so this chain of hatred finally…
そしてようやくこの憎しみの連鎖が…
