A Hell Cross is a conversion from Hellfire.
Hellfire absolutely needs 3 plate Puyos (and one more Puyo to trigger),but sometimes you get less Puyos for plate Puyo.
In such a situation, You can stack a lethal chain by converting to Stairs of monochrome chain (it means a route of red to red in that image).
In the image, the stack has already a 4 chain without using plate Puyo. And this form is symmetry so you can trigger a 4 chain from both side (yellow and green).



In fact, reds are not often coverd by greens but opened in the middle of the stacking.
In such a situation, you can choose the trigger point from a red or a green as front extension.


And also purples as a plate Puyo is still available, so By adding double purple, the stack is back to Hell fire.
