A route of B -> Y is decided. Then there needs to be put yellow on 3rd column.

So any other colors can't be set on 3rd column before setting a yellow.

If you put a green-blue on 2-3 columns, there is a free space at 3rd column because yellows can be also added to 2nd column.
2nd one is not more important than 3rd one, because 3rd one has more acceptances of various pairs.

By the way the space on the left is ideally used in this way.
A yellow becomes 2nd trigger at the same time as it can be added power as 2nd link of the chain from blue trigger. I prefer to use it too!

A green (and a purple) is a trigger point.

Earlier, you have to consider that reds can be a trigger point.
The current chain route is Y -> G -> R -> probably P, then the color you want is a purple and a yellow to trigger.
So other colors are not one you want, and yellows are not also one you need before coming purple.
So you can add a yellow on 2nd column to create the red trigger while waiting for the purple.
This is maybe diffucult but it's worth to use and there are many opportunities to use this technique in your stack style. (I introduced the same tech in 1st tip)

When you gonna make a purple trigger, such a purple-yellow is called "Devil Pair (¥Ç¥Ó¥ë¥Ï¥Á¥¤¥Á)" in Puyopuyo term.
The probability picking this pair is 2/25 (in fact 2/9 is suitble) so that I think it's OK if you chalk it up to bad luck.
You can avoid the devil pair by an extra splitting but It's also an act that slows down the extra time.

To address the other points, I recommend to put it on 5-6 columns.
This chain seems to be mainly a 4-double from middle greens, so I wanna use green in route of the chain from green trigger, although with a splitting.

About caring a devil pair, I often take care of a chromatic devil pair (2/9), but I rarely do of a monochrome devil pair (1/25).
