私が中学校にいたとき、いつもミリヤ（Miriya）になりたかったので、ちょうど卒業した時にそれを作りました。
私が「コミック・コンベンション・チリ共和国」の間、昨日このコスプレを撃たせた私の親友フェルナンド（https://m.facebook.com/PhotographesSansFrontieres）とコスプレによる写真撮影はそのような驚くべき旅行でした！
私は、2日でレトロなボディアーマーを製作し、ボディスーツは私と協力するユウトによって作られました。
かつら、そして、化粧スタイルは私自身によるものです。♥

I have always wanted to be Miriya since I was in middle school and just went out and made it. photography by my good friend Fernando ( https://m.facebook.com/PhotographesSansFrontieres ) I got to shoot this Cosplay yesterday during Comic Con Chile and it has been such an amazing trip! I made the retro armor in two days, and the bodysuit was made by Yuto in collaboration with me. wig and makeup styling by me♥

コスチューム・プレイを語源とするが、既に元の意味とは異なる形態となっているため、本来は略語であるコスプレを新しく造語として制式用語にします。
  • 「コンサイス・オックスフォード英語辞典〔COD,COED〕2008年版」(Concise Oxford English Dictionary 2008)には "cosplay"が収録された（参考:ウェブ版 oxforddictionaries-cosplay。「映画や本やテレビゲームの、特に日本の漫画やアニメのジャンルの登場人物として着飾ることの実践」と定義されている。

コスチューム・プレイ - ウィキペディア (Costume play) は、演劇用語で時代劇・歴史劇のこと。コスチュームとは衣装、プレイとは演劇のことであり、衣装劇ともいう。現代劇と違い、きらびやかな衣装をまとって行う劇を指す。同様の歴史映画なども指す。
